Made of whitewash birch-ply, high-gloss spraypainted MDF and HPL.
The kitchen seems to float due to a deep offset black baseboard. This baseboard also covers the waste, and the water, electricity and gas supplies. Between kitchen cabinets and top is a black edge, which makes the top seem to float. This effect is enhanced by the use of a relatively thin top, made of HPL on a base of birch-ply.
Doors and drawerfronts are made of MDF with a routed handle, and high-gloss spraypainted in dark red and signal white.
The built-in fridge is offset relative to the cabinet. We chose to do this due to the limited available space in the kitchen. This detail also creates a playfull effect as if it were a box of bricks.
